👇👇👇  Ingredients for Potato with Beef Curry👇👇👇


  • Beef, with bones- 1kg
  • Onion, sliced- 2 to 3 small 
  • Fried onions crushed- 2 medium size
  • Onion, paste - 2 tsp
  • Ginger & garlic paste- 4 tsp
  • Potatoes peeled and halved- 4 -5  medium
  • Curd/yogurt, whisked- 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste


 Garam masala/spices for tempering:

  •   Cinnamon- 1 inch piece
  •   Cloves- 4
  •   Black cardamom- 1 
  •   Black & white peppercorns- 10-12
  •   Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp 
  •   Red Chilli powder- 2 tsp 
  •   Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  •   Cumin powder -   1.5 tsp
  •  Salt - 1.5 tsp + 1/2 tsp(with potatoes) seasoning at the end & if need then add to   taste
  •   Mustard Oil - 4 - 5 tbsp

 

Preparation: 


  • Slice a medium sized onion and fry it until golden. Remove from oil & allow it to cool.   
  • Also slice 1-2 small onions and set aside. 
  • Chop 2 small sized onions and blend onion for make paste.  
  • Peel and halve 4 medium sized potatoes. Keep in a bowl of water to prevent it from turning brown.   


Process: 


Step 1: Heat musturd oil in a   pan and add the whole spices. 

  •    Give a stir and add the onion paste & some sliced onions. 
  •    Fry the onions paste  for 2 mins on medium heat till they are translucent. 
  •    Then add the ginger & garlic paste, mix it well and fry for 3-4 mins on   medium heat.
  •    Add all the spice powders  and 1.5 tsp salt. Mix well and bhunnoo/ fry on medium to low heat for 10-12 mins.
  •    Add the whisked curd/yogurt with a few drops of water for the spices to fry
  •    Cook all ingredients for 5 to 6 minutes.


Step 2:  Now add the beef pieces and cook it for 20 - 30 minutes on medium heat.


  • Mix properly the meat with the masalas.
  • Now cover the pan . This should take around 10 mins. Sometime you can check & shake it in the proper way.
  • Continue to cook on low heat for 5 mins till oil separates. 
  • Now add the potato halves, mix and fry for 2 mins. Add ½ tsp salt with potatoes.
  • Add crushed onions and mix well. 
  • Add 400 ml water, mix gravy.
  • Now cook on low heat for 30 minutes.add salt (if needed).
  • Add ⅓ tsp roasted cumin powder.
  • Close the lid 
  • Serve with rice or roti.
